Microsoft has revealed more details of its plans for structuring and licensing Dynamics 365, the upcoming solution platform which will unify the current Microsoft CRM and ERP cloud solutions into one cloud service with purpose-built apps for specific business processes. Paul White, the General Manager at Microsoft states ‘We are trying to do something different, create a competitive edge in the way we license software

The Enterprise edition will include Dynamics AX, and five apps representing Dynamics CRM-related capabilities. Dynamics 365 Enterprise plans will allow for either cloud or on-premise use, with a “Team Member” licensing level, for those users who only need limited access for expenses and timesheets. Microsoft 365:

  • Helps organizations move from monolithic application suites to purpose-built, SaaS applications with intelligence built in
  • Integrates Microsoft Office 365
  • Introduces a disruptive and customer centric business model to build what you want and buy just the capabilities you need, while ensuring all roles have access to all the data they need to be successful in their jobs
